Flinders handed Chelsea FC chance
Posted by world's most popular artists at Wednesday, January 25, 2006Barnsley goalkeeper Scott Flinders has headed to Stamford Bridge to start a trial spell with Premiership leaders Chelsea FC. The 19-year-old goalkeeper has been making a good name for himself in the Premier League, and the Yorkshire club have of course given him permission to impress the Champions.
"It is an unique opportunity for Scott and we just cannot stand in his way," Tykes boss Andy Ritchie told the club website. "He will go down to train with them on Monday and we will see what happens."
Flinders starred for England in last years’ Under-20 Toulon tournament, and is being tipped as a great prospect for the future.
