Surprising Bolton crushed Arsenal hopes
0 comments Posted by world's most popular artists at Monday, April 25, 2011Bolton defeated Arsenal 2-1 and frustrated the Gunners' dreams of a title for this season. Wenger's squad completed their third game without a victory, and now they have no chance to reach leaders Manchester United.
Tamir Cohen scored a dramatic goal in the last minutes of the match, and that was the end of the story for Arsenal this season. Chelsea's win over West Ham helped Ancelotti's team reach the second place of the table.
It's fair to mention that the result could have been even more tragic for Arsenal, since Bolton's striker Kevin Davies missed a penalty shoot.
"I am the one to blame" said Wenger after the game. "Our team didn't have the experience to react at the most important moments, and that's entirely my fault."

Toure Struck to Keep Arsenal's FA Cup Hopes Alive

Kolo Toure's diving header cancelled out Kevin Nolan's opener and denied Bolton progress in the FA Cup.
Nolan struck in the 50th minute when he collected Kevin Davies' cross-cum-shot and clipped the ball into the net.
The midfielder was denied a second when he had the ball expertly flicked from his feet by the diving Manuel Almunia.
Arsenal Club increased the tempo after that and the intense pressure told when Toure dived to meet a cross and bounced a header over Jussi Jaaskelainen.
